Cosplay Contest

Costumes must be suitable and appropriate for all ages.  All weapons used will be looked over by Expo doors and judges at pre-register.  Exceptions may be made, by the Cosplay Coordinator. 

Handmade costumes are eligible for awards.  You may have help design and build costume, however more then 50% by the wearer.  Store bought costumes may be aloud if only 80% has been altered.

2 min limit for all performances.  Exceptions can be made.

Music will be provided for all walk in's.   Other wise bring own music via USB stick.  No other format will be accepted.

Registration open till 2:30pm, pre-judging at 2:30, gather at 4:45, contest at 5.  Late Walk in's will be under Judges consideration.

Contestants are encouraged to per-register electronically for the contest via the online form.  Register online, or you can register in person at the Cosplay Table from 10am to 2:30pm.

 

All contestants must arrive in the Cosplay Room approximately 20 minutes before the start of the contest (5pm).  This event takes a lot of preparation work and we require contestants to be on hand for instructions.

There will be pre-judging for Costume Awards in the Cosplay Room. If you'd like to be considered for a costuming award, please come at the time specified. 

After the judges have finished deliberating, the winners will be announced. Contestants must be on hand to accept awards.

1.5 Skit Music (or audio) must be submitted ahead of time either online or in person during Saturday check-in. We can accept MP3 files only. No music submissions will be accepted for walk on entries.

Winners will be selected in the following categories:

  • Best in Show

  • Best in Show Runner up

  • Best in Show 3rd place

  • Craftsman 1st place

  • Craftsman 2nd place

  • Fan Fav

Walk on(s) will be accepted but not to compete.
